House of Blues is a live music concert hall and restaurant chain based in the United States. It was founded by Dan Aykroyd, co-star of the 1980 film The Blues Brothers, and Isaac Tigrett, co-founder of Hard Rock Cafe. In 1992, the first venue opened in Cambridge, Massachusetts’ Harvard Square. Since July 2006, the chain has become a subsidiary of Live Nation Entertainment, with 11 outlets around the country.
