The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino owns and operates the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, a public aquarium in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has a main tank with a capacity of 1,300,000 US gallons, making it one of the largest in North America. The 95,000square-foot facility houses a variety of sharks, rays, reptiles, and aquatic invertebrates. There’s even a shark tube.
At the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, North America’s only predator-based aquarium and exhibit, you will interact with some of the world’s most interesting animals. Sawfish, giant rays, endangered green sea turtles, piranha, jellyfish, rare golden crocodiles, and sharks are among the 2,000 species that call this Las Vegas aquarium home.
There are two underwater tunnels and a variety of underwater life to make your occasion a memorable one. Taking the example of sharks alone, the aquarium consists of more than 100 different sharks related to 15 different species! Isn’t it great?
