The MGM Grand Las Vegas is a hotel and casino in Paradise, Nevada, on the Las Vegas Strip. With 6,852 suites, the MGM Grand is the largest single hotel in the United States. It is also the world’s third-largest hotel complex by room count and the United States’ second-largest hotel resort complex, after The Venetian and The Palazzo. The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino first opened its doors in 1993. It was the biggest hotel back at that time.
The MGM Grand features a 6.6-acre (2.7-hectare) outdoor pool, river, and waterfall, as well as a 380,000-square-foot (35,000-square-meter) convention center, the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and the Grand Spa.
